Thank you for visiting our site! We recently got married and had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by our immediate families on June 20th - we are truly so thrilled to have taken this step together. We've been thinking about getting married for a while now, but weren't set on what kind of wedding we wanted or if we wanted to be engaged. Given the state of the world, specifically for our friends and family in the black community, we realized in early June that getting married now could provide us with a unique opportunity to raise funds and awareness around issues of racial justice. 3 weeks of planning later, we made it happen.
Throughout our ceremony, we were thrilled to highlight black-owned businesses for the dress, the flowers, the cake, and the rings. For more information on the businesses we used and for additional black-owned businesses we think you should know, see the menu options above!
In lieu of wedding gifts, we asked that everyone continue to reflect on the events taking our world by storm and consider donating to the GoFundMe we created. We will be donating 100% of the money raised to organizations that support and are fighting for racial equality. Descriptions of each organization, in addition to other organizations we’d like to call your attention to, can be found in the menu options above. To donate to our GoFundMe, click GIVE A GIFT below, or above within the menu bar.
Within this site you will also find additional resources that support racial equality (books, TV shows, podcasts, etc.). Please let us know if you have anything to contribute to our lists! We will continuously update this site with new resources, businesses, and organizations.
We appreciate your help, support, and solidarity and we are so grateful for each one of you.
Thank you, we love you.
